[How-To] Root Android-x86 4.4.2 KitKat on PC/VMWare

Good Morning Droidsters;

In this post, which is a Follow-up to yesterday's How-To Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat on PC/VMWare, I will showing you how to root it since it comes as "Stock-Unrooted" AOSP format.

Also I will be showing you how to change the resolution coz by default the resolution is very low for some odd unknown reason... So see you after the break...

You can "Root" Android-86 one of two ways. Method 1 will be via Superuser script, and Method 2 will be via SuperSU. Because I couldn't find a way to install a custom Recovery, and I don't think it's doable since it uses Grub Bootloader.

- Rooting Method 1 :

This is how you root via Superuser. Using this method doesn't allow you to update the Superuser binary simply because it requires a "Custom Recovery" to be installed. Plus it's kinda old, uses the Android 4.3 version of SU which requires update. But overall it kinda works, that's why am mentioning it here.

Either download this inside the Virtual System or download it to your computer and mount it into android using USB.
2.Extract it in sdcard/root.
3.Now, in your Virtual system press ALT+F1 to get into command mode.
type:
cd /sdcard/root
again type
sh install.sh
4.Press ‘Y’ and then restart for rooted device.
- Rooting Method 2 :

This is how you root via SuperSU. Using this method allows you to update the SuperSU binary simply because it doesn't require a "Custom Recovery" to be installed. Plus it's an app you can get via the Play Store. Very simple to update without a custom recovery. This method I recommend more than previous one.

1. Go to Play Store
2. Search for SuperSU
3. Install
4. Run app to Root
5. Reboot
6. Done

Note : To verify Root just search for Root Checker app on Play Store, install, run and hit the Check Root Access button, if all goes well you should get the following screen.

and when it done, the PC cannot to start. IT seem the kernel was broken. Do you get any ideas for:
1. Recovery my PC - unroot from the dark screen ( have a slash to enter command)
2. New codes root for android 5
